Enrich

The Enrich Youth Project

The Enrich Youth Project is the community youth work run by All Saints Weston. The Enrich Youth Project came about in 2010 when All Saints made a commitment to funding a full time community youth worker following two years of outreach to young people in Weston. The aim of Enrich is to help young people enjoy, experience and explore life to the full. This is done through various evening groups throughout the week as outlined below as well as work in schools and one-to-one work. You can find more information about the wider work on our website.

Edge…
…is a place where we take a look at life together. We chat about issues that young people face in life and we do it while eating some kind of pudding. 🙂 Edge is for anyone from year 9 up to the age of 18 and runs on a Tuesday evening between 8pm and 9.30pm from the All Saints Centre.

Junction 18…
…is for year 9 to age 18 and runs once a week. J18 is free to attend and has a youth club feel to it. We have table tennis, pool, table football, Xbox, Nintendo Wii, music and board games as well as selling milkshakes. It’s a place where you can do what’s on offer or just hang out with your friends. We also have an area called adJUST which looks at issues around Social Justice. This is an optional addition to the evening and doesn’t interfere with the other activities that are going on. Junction 18 runs from Weston Children’s Centre (formerly Centre 69) on Wednesday nights from 7.30 till 9.30.

The Den…
…is for those in school years 6, 7 & 8 and is a place where you can come and hang out with your friends, grab some toast and a hot chocolate, play some board games if you wish and have a chat. It’s a relaxed atmosphere with chilled music and sofas. The Den runs from the All Saints Centre on a Thursday between 6.30 and 8pm.

Check It Out…
…is a place where young people can come and explore the Christian faith and who God is. We don’t have a great deal of spiritual input at the rest of our projects – no ‘God slot’ etc – we just create a space where young people can come and explore the bigger things if they wish to. Check it out runs from the All Saints Centre on a Sunday evening between 7 and 8pm.
