For Women

Women’s Breakfast

The Women’s Breakfast is usually two or three times a year on a Saturday morning, 8am in the Centre. We are dependent on two wonderful teams of volunteers inviting a speaker and organising the Breakfasts.

The aim is to have an occasion where all ages of women can come for a relaxing breakfast with their friends, with a speaker on a Christian ‘theme’.

A meeting place for single ladies

Ladies who live alone have different challenges and opportunities and while we learn to go solo, most of us enjoy getting together to chat and to do things together that we cannot do on our own. You are very welcome to join us.

We meet in the Courtyard Room in All Saints Centre on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 2pm to 4pm.

Mother’s Union

All Saints Mother’s Union is headed up by Joan Shearman

Being part of Mothers’ Union is an important step in our members’ journey in faith as they seek to promote stable marriage, family life and the protection of children. This is achieved within the context of three clear strands that form the core of all Mothers’ Unions throughout the world.

Our vision
Whilst the ways in which we operate to fulfil that need may be different from that of the world of the 19th century, our vision today is still of a world where God’s love is shown through loving, respectful, and flourishing relationships. This is the essence of our work.

Our mission
We aim to show our Christian faith by the transformation of communities worldwide. We can do this through the promotion of stable marriage, family life and the protection of children. This is our mission. It is what we aim to achieve.

Our values
There are more than four million members of Mothers’ Union today in 83 countries around the world. Each member subscribes to the same values; the moral and ethical codes that are central to the ways in which we operate.

Firstly, we are firmly rooted in a voluntary ethos centred on mutual respect and collaboration.

Secondly, our governance, leadership, and programmes are driven by and undertaken through members within their own communities worldwide.

Thirdly, we work with people of all faiths and none.
