Prayer is a vital foundation for all we do as a church community. In prayer, as we talk and listen to God, we deepen our relationship with Him, put ourselves in a place to receive His grace and be a channel for His transforming power in our world.
Prayer forms an important part of our services and Home Groups and there are a number of opportunities to come together simply to pray. Our Intercessors group meets once a month, as does a group which meets to specifically to pray for the Persecuted Church.
The Prayer Ministry Team at All Saints Church offers prayer for individuals who are seeking a blessing or healing from the Lord in body, mind and spirit. Members have seen how the Lord, through prayer, has healed or blessed many who have faced quite difficult challenges in their lives.
As Prayer Ministry Team Leader, Don Hewit has run in house courses on Prayer Ministry, as well as courses on Gifts of the Holy Spirit to equip Christians to go out and minister to others outside the church.
Currently Don organises Equip Evenings, which are open to both church members and other Christians who want to broaden their skills and walk with the Lord. These Evenings are three times a year on a Tuesday night, with praise and worship, a guest speaker and the offer of Prayer Ministry afterwards.
On the second Tuesday of the month we gather for a time of prayer together in church from 7.45-9.30pm. This time will be lead in turns by a church staff member, a homegroup cluster or, on Equip evenings, we will inspired by a visiting speaker. Please check the church diary for the next meeting.
For more information on any of the above, please contact Don Hewit.
Many members of All Saints meet in small groups to pray and encourage one another. If you would like to be a part of a Prayer Triplet, or would just like to find out more, contact Mandy Falkus.
