Welcome to The Helpers project
For Weston and Newbridge

"If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth."

Help Your Neighbour by Calling
You can help in 2 ways:

1. By joining the Team
2. By recognising the needs of your neighbours and calling The Helpers

Services being offered by The Helpers
Taxi Service          Gardening
Meal Giving           Debt Counselling
Addictions*           CV/Professional Advice
Literacy                Hospital Visiting
Shopping              English Language
DIY/Decorating      Companionship

How it works
1. Each type of service has a coordinator
2. If your neighbour needs help, call the relevant coordinator
3. The coordinator organises a Helper or team to carry out the service
4. No prmises made until the Team has confirmed
5. We can't help our neighbour unless lots of us volunteer, and then the load is shared

The Helpers offers a framework through which the Christians of Weston and Newbridge can transform the Community.

If you can think of ways in which needs can be met, or if you would like to know more about what it means to be a Helper, please contact the church office.
