Course at All Saints
explore the meaning of life

If you are enquiring about or are just getting going in
the Christian faith we would love to invite you to join
the next Alpha course.
The
Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the
Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening manner over
ten, thought- provoking weekly sessions.
The
Alpha course runs on Wednesday evenings with the option
of a weekend away.They
consist of a series of talks looking at topics such as "Who
is Jesus?" and "Why and how do I pray?".
There
is a meal together at the beginning of each session which
gives you an opportunity to get to know each other.
After
each talk we divide into small groups for a time of discussion.For

A
Typical Alpha Evening
7.00pm
- Supper
Arrive at the Alpha course. An informal supper is served,
and you eat with other guests in your small group.
7.40pm
- Welcome
A welcome from the course leader.
7.45pm
- Introduction
One or two songs to start the evening.
8.00pm
- Talk
A talk on the topic for the evening, such as "Who is
Jesus?", and "Why and how do I pray?".
8.45pm
- Coffee and biscuits9pm
Small Groups
You break up into your small groups for a relaxed and informal
discussion time. The small group consists of around 12 people,
including one or two 'leaders' who will host the group and
lead the discussions. This is a time when you can ask any
questions that you may have, discuss the talk, study the
Bible etc.
9.45pm
- Finish
The evening will end no later than 9.45pm.
