Reimagining Our Buildings Survey Many thanks to the 60+ people so far who have completed and handed in the survey forms with their first thoughts on what they would like to see happen to the main church building. The comments received so far are interesting and helpful as well as being varied. As we are a church of around 300 people, it would be fantastic if we could get close to that number. In addition we hope to get a good few responses from people in the community. If you have not filled one out or returned it, please do so and put completed forms in the box at the back of church.
Children & Families Worker. Gaynor Williams will be stepping down from the Children & Families Worker post in August. We are now looking for the next person God has chosen to help nurture our children in the passion, power, knowledge and fear of the Lord. This person will lead and inspire the Sunday groups, plan various parties and the Holiday Club, work with volunteers in the church helping children to enjoy and experience an everyday God. They will work with families in the community, developing relationships for the seeds of the gospel to take root. The Children & Families Worker will have a significant influence on the faith of our children. Please pray for the Lord to lead the right person to this post and for us to recognize His leading. If you or anyone you know is interested in this post please pick up an information & application pack from the Church Office (447663) or talk to Sky Cady for more details. The closing date for applications is 24 May.
Tuesday 21 – Tuesday 28 May Patrick will be in Cyprus following the steps of St Paul from Salamis to Paphos (see Acts 13: 4 – 13). This is research for a book “The Gospel for the outsider: the gospel in Luke/Acts” It might involve a dip in the Mediterranean! He will be travelling with Michael Fowler.
‘The Woodland Grove Run’ Kim, the activities coordinator at Woodland Grove care home in Weston Park has asked for volunteer help to enable 3 of the residents who would like to come to church on Sunday mornings. This would involve helping push a wheel chair or provide a supporting arm. We are aiming to set up a rota. If you can help (say once a month / 6 weeks) please contact the Church office 447663, Nigel Rawlinson or Mandy Falkus.
